Fede Lopez

Born in the Dominican Republic, and raised in artistic surroundings, Fede Lopez began his musical foundation at the age of 11. After taking on instruments at a young age, he joined the punk rock group Teriyaki. Gaining popularity in the local music scene, the band was the opening act for classic rock group America and Argentinian rock star Gustavo Cerati.

Vested in the art scene, Lopez moved to Stockholm, Sweden. Stepping into the professional world, he was granted a scholarship for Berklee College of Music in 2012. For several years he booked gigs and gained local attention in the Boston music scene playing with numerous artists. It wasn’t until 2015 that Lopez took on the role of frontman, singing original compositions with his band Trio LosPezes. After touring the same year, they launched their first EP “De Nada a Todo.”

Coming back to his hometown he refocused his musical interest to film scoring, composing music for successful movies like “Tuberculo Gourmet” and “Luis”. In 2016, prior to joining La Alucinante Banda, the artist took on the role of music producer as he started working with Riccie Oriach on his debut EP “El Viaje Al Infinito, where he recorded guitar, keyboards and mixed the tracks.

Currently Fede Lopez is producing his solo album “Ando Solo”. The artist will continue engaged to the music diaspora as his influence as an educator, film scorer and music producer will hopefully help change his country’s perception and value for the arts.
